Known as Morrison Mentors, the program gives young teens like these in Uniondale a chance to spend their time not on a movie or a game, but a science lecture given by three young men.

In addition to AT&T and Hofstra, the hackathon was sponsored by Morrison Mentors, LISTnet and Long Island Press. NY State Assemblywoman Taylor Darling (D-Hempstead) visited the students in the afternoon to offer some words of encouragement and discuss the growing number of opportunities available in technology.

Students in the Women in Science and Engineering program partnered with Morrison Mentors to create and host STEM events for local middle schoolers. Watch the videos below to learn more about these projects.

Suffolk County Legislature Minority Leader Jason Richberg joined the Town of Babylon, AT&T, and Morrison Mentors on Tuesday, Dec. 10 in Wyandanch to kick off the Senior Holiday Online Safety Program and announce AT&T’s donation of 100  laptops and backpacks to be distributed to seniors in the community.

Morrison Mentors Inc. has a goal to grow the knowledge of local youth in technology. They accomplished that mission today at Mulligan.

Students from the Title III Immigrant Program had a chance to fly drones, try out VR goggles and learn how to 3D print objects, courtesy of the instructors on site.

New York Life officials gathered on Sept. 25 at the Morrison Mentors facility, Suite 102 of 250 Fulton Ave. in Hempstead, where they presented the grant to Executive Director Doron Spleen. 

New York Life Managing Partner Bianca H. O’Brien, Senior Partner James Varriale, Director of Agency Standards Jessica Cornejo, and Financial Advisor Stacy Pierre-Louis handed a $15,0000 check to Spleen and his staff.
